Perfect for Valentine’s Day Weddings, this red and white cake will surely stand out. Lavishly decorated with tresses and candied flowers, the flavor will vary depending on your taste. Most bakeries will make Butter flavored desserts, but if you want to go a bit wild, you can opt for chocolate flavor. Lemon is also a good flavor, as this will add a nice twist to your wedding.

Best served with chilled Champagne, cut into this wedding cake and share the first meal with your bride or groom in exquisite delight.

Who would not want a perfect wedding? All is well that ends well. From day one till the big day everything came good as planned, except for one, the wedding invitations were not so impressive. A simple guest comment received from a recent wedding that creates a huge impact to the whole event that is 8 months in the making. But in another similar occasion what they experienced is quite the contrary, the wedding invitation out starred the rest of the package. It was very much admired for its originality and artistry, a product of a marrying couple’s love and passion. The design concept of the invitation was simple yet very personalized. A large sea shell with the groom and bride’s name as well as the wedding date on top of it, all engraved in gold. Inside the clam like shell is a pearl pin that holds a small parchment paper adorned with gold lining and a ribbon that matches the orange motif. Gold printed in paper is the list of the sponsors and the rest of the entourage. The shell is seated in a small wooden box sprinkled permanently with white and gray sand and emblazoned with tiny orange colored shells. The alluring concept of the invitation epitomizes the theme of a Beach Wedding.

Regardless of how much time and money you spend for the wedding it will always be best to make a first good impression on your invitations. There is always a saying that” first impression is last impression”.

So before planning your wedding concept, you may want to look at the invitation first. It’s worth the whole event.

Personalized Wedding Gifts

August 21st, 2008

Have you been in a dilemma looking for a perfect wedding gift? It is difficult to shop with no idea whatsoever. It is quite a common tale for newlywed couples to receive a plethora of gifts which are exactly the same, thus a lot of those things just end up in a storage waiting to be recycled or given away. Of course this is a circumstance that you possibly want to avoid. So why not consider giving personalized wedding gifts, something that will stands out and be remembered.

As to my personal experience, I always look for an item that displays uniqueness and elegance. An example of which is a pair of stylish and refined silver goblet that looks beautifully luxurious. These goblets are so unique because of its heart interlocking shape; the goblets are just like the groom and the bride, paired and joined as one. Their engraved names on the goblets makes it completely personalized.

Any small item can be personalized like a memento, perhaps a wine glass with a customized label of the wedding date or a poem personally dedicated to the couple. The bride and groom’s personal interests could give you great ideas on what to select in the way of personalized wedding gifts. The wedding theme can also be a basis on picking the appropriate present for the occasion.

The sentiments that influenced the lives of the newlyweds may be used as an inspiration to create a gift of memorabilia. Framed photos of their theme place where they met or significant events in their early days as an engaged couple can bring back fond memories and serve as a reminder of their beginning together.

No matter how you customize and personalize your wedding gift, It will always be the precious effort that would be the most worth remembering for the pleased couples.

An Inspirational Wedding Film

August 17th, 2008

I’m a movie fan through and through and one of my all time favorite films is Jerry Maguire. For me it ranks up there with the best of things. I’m really supposed to put my thoughts on weddings but allow me to digress for a little bit, for you see, the film I’ve been mentioning has something to do with weddings.

This may sound absurd to those who have seen the film, but for me the highlights of the movie were entangled in the importance of the wedding. It changes the paradigm of a person like Jerry and starts to believe once more in the good stuff, things like love, friendship, companionship and commitment. It is very brave for two people to say I do, since they are practically throwing caution to the wind and saying damn all the odds, we shall face the unknown and life’s uncertainties head on and without fear. In the said film Jerry grew in years of hopeful and optimistic outlook in life, even it diminishes in large part due to people who have hurt, betrayed and let him down but the concept of marriage made him to believe and overcome the sadness and weakness in him. It was his wedding day that made him recall how important his wife and son to him. That in spite the success he got he still felt empty in the absence of his wife.

Many are the weddings where I have been moved to tears by couples whose vows to each other ring straight and true. They simply know that being together can bring them through anything that life has to offer.

The least we can do is heartily cheer them on, for they have shown unbelievers that in spite of everything life is still beautiful and that love indeed makes the world go round.

And if you are thinking of getting married and started planning a wedding, you might want to watch the film first and see if it inspires you. Otherwise you may be having the worst decision of your life.

A wedding will always be one of the biggest and most significant celebrations for couples in love and getting ready for a perfect wedding event will require those knitty gritty planning and preparation. But it should be realized and considered that the first impression of a wedding day will begin with a wedding invitation and it sets the tone for the entire event. So it’s time to come up with something personalized that expresses emotion and a feeling that displays clarity. A personalized wedding invitation offers the opportunity to make a striking first impression on guests before the special day. Thus it is nice to make it somewhat reflective of the bride’s and groom’s personalities.

Conceptualize a design that mirrors the couple’s creative ideas from the choice of material, shape, color, text, and graphics and most especially the wordings to be used. It may not follow the traditional and formal style that is common in most wedding invitations where proper etiquette is observed. Informal phrases, language and style may be used. Experimenting with fun, unique fonts and ink colors will make a lot of difference but still retains its essence. Printing may be engraved yet it is extensive and expensive and a good alternative is thermographed which is a relatively new process that offers raised print, quite a savings from the engraved process, looks just like engraved.

Imagine an invitation that opens like a scroll, or invitation placed inside a bottle or moreover packaged like a pillow and shaped like slippers or anything remarkable and cute. But whatever the outcome of your invitation, still it will be an important keepsake and heirloom you’ll treasure for years to come.
